Fernanda DINOBILE

Fernanda DiNobile (née Nigro) passed away on February 16, 2026, at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her husband, Domenico; son, Gino; brother, Michele Nigro; sisters, Lina Mastrangelo and Teodora Bonito; brothers-in-law, Antonio DiNobile, Gabriele Bonito, and Pasquale Mastrangelo; and sisters-in-law, Bice DiNobile and Andrea Nigro. Left to mourn her loss are her son, Joseph; brother, Armando Nigro; brother-in-law, Dino DiNobile; and sisters-in-law, Rosanne DiNobile and Paola Nigro. Fernanda was born in Accadia, Italy in 1940 and came to Fort Erie, Ontario, in 1955. She met and married Domenico and moved to Port Colborne where they settled and raised their family. Fernanda was a voracious reader of English language books and novels, and enjoyed frequent long walking tours of the city, often including stops at local bookstores. She was also an avid and skilled knitter and crocheter of clothing, bed covers, and tapestries. Fernanda will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews, and their families.
