Velma Isabelle (nee Moffatt) SMALE

Velma Isabelle Smale, nee Moffatt, passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of the late William Edward Smale and a devoted mother to Karen Campbell and her husband Scott, Stephen Smale and his wife Wendy, and William Smale and his wife Tammy. Velma was a proud grandmother to Eric and his wife Meagan, Kevin and his wife Tarah, Carley, Luke and his wife Cindy, and Jake, and a cherished great-grandmother to Orin, Frances, Lincoln, and Suri. Born in Marmora, Ontario, to Thomas and Margaret Moffatt, Velma was predeceased by her sisters, Eva and Aileen. She worked at Canadian General Electric for many years, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Velma valued family, faith, hard work, and kindness, and was known for her generosity, often supporting local food banks. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A private family graveside service will be held at Little Lake Cemetery on July 29, 2026, officiated by Pastor Kirk Goodman. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Kawartha Food Share or The Salvation Army would be appreciated.
