Susanne May Scollard (Sue)
Sue Scollard passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in her 82nd year, at the age of 81. She was the beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Scollard. Loving mother of Stephanie (David) Dametto of Richmond Hill, Nicole (Lorne) Strong of Belle River, and Bart (Miranda) Scollard of Courtice. Beloved grandmother of Luke, Brooke, Kristin, Jack, Lauren and Ali. Sue was the daughter of the late Helen (Monaghan) and Ken Mowry and daughter-in-law of the late Clara (Cavanagh) and Leo Scollard. Loving sister of Brenda Ellis and Janet Mowry. Dear sister-in-law of Mary Claire (Scollard) and Paul Moher, Jim Blakeley and Rob Staples. Predeceased by her brothers, Ken Mowry and Vince Monaghan; brother-in-law, Pat Scollard; and sisters-in-law, Betty (Scollard) Blakeley and Colleen (Scollard) Staples. Sue was a special aunt to Renée Ellis-Gelinas, Nadine Ellis-Maffei, Ryan Archbold, Kayti Larcom, Emily Coughlin, Bryan Coughlin and the late Justin Ellis. She will be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends, especially cousin Sharon (Mowry) Chrysler and long-time friend Cathy (Crowley) Shadbolt. Sue began her banking career with Victoria and Grey Trust and went on to spend 38 dedicated years with TD Bank before retiring in 2009. Her beloved dog, Billy, was her constant companion for 17 years and was by her side until just days before her passing. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors in Palliative Care at PRHC for their compassionate care and support, as well as to the many PSWs who provided Sue with dedicated care and companionship in her home over the years. A private service has been planned.
