Robert Paul "Bob" WEILER
Robert Paul 'Bob' Weiler passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at the age of 79, at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. He was the loving brother of Larry and was predeceased by his parents, Harvey (2014) and Helvi (1990). Bob was born in Walkerton, Ontario, and grew up and was educated in Willowdale (Toronto). In 1971 he received his Interprovincial Mechanics License and began a career working on diesel tractors, automobiles, and inboard boats. He was a homebody, a perfectionist, and very resourceful. He loved snowmobiling with members of the Twin Mountains Snowmobile Club, boating, golfing with the Weiler clan, and most of all, his 1930 Ford Model A Roadster and membership in the Toronto Area Roadster Association (TARA). In 2005 he purchased a 1972 Chevy Nova, rebuilt it from scratch, and spent his summers at car shows and meeting and talking with many classic car owners and spectators. Bob's memory was superb, and he had a nearly encyclopedic knowledge of Chevy classic cars and their components. Bob's family would like to thank the nurses and doctors who provided the wonderful care that Bob received in the emergency department and palliative care at Ross Memorial. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Hendren Funeral Home-Monk Chapel. Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will take place in Bobcaygeon at a future date, and a family gathering in Mildmay, Ontario, will be held sometime this summer.
