Robert Joseph McMahon

Robert Joseph McMahon of Peterborough, Ontario, passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 82. He was predeceased by his brother Maurice McMahon, his brothers‑in‑law Bob Fitzgerald (Irma) and Kenny Fitzgerald, and his parents Dennis and Madeline McMahon. He is survived by his wife Catherine; his children Mark (married to Marnie) and Carrie Grant (married to James); his grandchildren Cameron and Kylie Grant; his siblings Ann Ryan (surviving late Bill), Eugene McMahon (married to Trish Fitzgerald), Bill McMahon (married to Kay) and Theresa Burnett (married to Al); his siblings‑in‑law Terry Fitzgerald (married to Marlene), Mary McKeiver (married to Carl), Ann Welsh (surviving late Wayne) and Paul Fitzgerald; and Lylah Taylor. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, ON. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 300 Wilson Street, Peterborough, ON, followed by burial at Highland Park Cemetery, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, ON. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kingston I.C.U. Kidd Davies Foundation, or PRHC in his memory.
