Patricia Anne COLLINS (nee Hayes)

Patricia Anne Collins, née Hayes, passed away on August 16, 2026, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre after a brief illness, at the age of 75. She was a retired registered nurse and an active volunteer with numerous community groups. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul Collins; their children Mary‑Teresa (married to Steve Smelt) and Douglas (married to Sarah); grandchildren Paige (with Max), Landon, Tori, Michael and Zachary; and great‑grandchildren Theo and Briar. She is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and the extended Kidd family, as well as her sister‑in‑law Maurice Gallagher (Kathy), Pat Collins (Leo) and Joan Collins (Carl). Predeceased were her parents William John Hayes and Mary Cecelia (née Grisdale), her brother Wayne Joseph, sister Kathy Gallagher, and in‑laws Joe (Marg) Collins, Bill (Barb) Collins, Carl Collins, Leo Collins, Bobby Collins and Marie Collins. Visitation will be held at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, 859 Barnardo Avenue, Peterborough at 1:00 p.m., with interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. The family requests donations to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre or the Toronto General Hospital Transplant Unit in lieu of flowers.
