Norman Douglas MILLS
Norman Douglas Mills passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on May 2, 2026, at the age of 91, with family by his side. He will be greatly missed by his son Stephen and his wife Kelly, and grandchildren Olivia and Owen, sisters Margaret and her husband Eldon Brown, and Dianne, as well as his brother-in-law Stephen Fellos. Norman was predeceased by his wife Della, parents Forbes (Bud) and Jean Mills, and brother Jim Mills. He will also be remembered fondly by friends, acquaintances, and staff at Royal Gardens Retirement Residence in Peterborough and by many lifelong friends from Timmins. Norman moved to Peterborough in 2017 to be closer to his family, particularly his grandchildren. He loved to support their many activities - dance recitals, rowing regattas, hockey, and baseball games - and was as proud a grandparent as you could find. Norman spent his career working in accounting for several Timmins-area businesses, his summer weekends at the golf course, and his winter weekends at the ski hill. He was an avid fan of the Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, and more recently the Peterborough Petes. Details regarding a celebration of Norman's life will be shared with family and friends when they are available. Donations to the PRHC Foundation - Palliative Care, or a charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.
