Miriam Alison STROUD (nee Collins)
Miriam Alison Stroud (nee Collins) passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on September 1, 2026, in her 86th year. She had a diverse career as a teacher, nurse, and minister, but her greatest joy came from her family and friends. Miriam was the beloved wife of Thomas (Tom) Stroud for 43 and a half years. She was a loving mother to Carolyn (Blaine), Dee, and Eric (Tanya), and a caring stepmother to Jeff, Peter (Jessie), Rebecca (Lance), and Nathaniel. Miriam was a cherished grandmother to Jeffrey, Colin, Piper, Shaela, Maya, Oliver, Charlotte, and Rosalie. She is also survived by her dear sisters Sheila (Frank) and Heather (Ken), along with her precious nieces, nephews, and special cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 99 Brock Street, Peterborough, on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's Anglican Church Parish, Breakthrough T1D (JDRF), or the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated.
