Mike MATTHEW

Mike Matthews, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 18, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was the son of Shirley and the late Gordon Matthews. Mike is survived by his wife, Linda Matthews; his son Ryan and daughter-in-law Julie; and his grandson Sam Matthews. He was also the brother of Gordon and cousins Cynthia Sloan, Douglas Grey, and Tim Matthews. Mike was a respected technician and entrepreneur in the Peterborough community, known for his mechanical ability and dedication to his craft. He owned outdoor power equipment businesses and worked at various companies, including Peterborough Cycle Salvage, where he helped customers with their powersports vehicles. Mike was proud of introducing Ural Motorcycles to Canada and establishing a network of dealers. He cherished time with his family, creating memories through his love of the outdoors and adventurous spirit.
