Marion 'Dokie' Irene MCDOUGALL (nee Oakes)

Marion 'Dokie' Irene McDougall (nee Oakes) passed away peacefully with her family by her side at PRHC on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in her 84th year, at the age of 83. Dokie was the beloved wife of the late Frank McDougall. She was a loving and devoted mother of Todd McDougall (Penny), Tammy Gignac (Peter), Troy McDougall (Brenda), and a devoted Grammie to Tamara McCaffery (Wayne), Autumn McDougall (Robin), Brandon McDougall, and Baylee McDougall. Dokie was the dear sister of Beverley Billings (Ross) and was predeceased by her sister, Cynthia McGuigan (Earl), and her brother, Dale Oakes. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Shirley Robinson (Doug, predeceased), Alma McDougall (Willie, predeceased), and Wyona Black (Neil, predeceased). Dokie was remembered lovingly by several nieces and nephews and was the daughter of the late Dennis and Dorothy Oakes. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Highland Park Funeral Centre on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with her nephew, Reverend Brent Hawkes officiating. A light luncheon will follow the service. In her memory, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.
