Marilyn Wood of Peterborough, Ontario, passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on August 16, 1937, she was the beloved daughter of Daniel Essa and Miriam Essa (Mary), both of whom predeceased her. Marilyn is survived by her children, Terry and David, as well as her grandchildren, Keely Jorens Booth and Eric Jorens. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Sydney, Griffin, Mason, Wyatt, and Maeve. Marilyn cherished her close friendships with Michelle, Gwen, and Julie, and is remembered fondly by her nieces, Valerie and Christina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Peterborough.
