John Colin Barton

John Colin Barton of Peterborough, Ontario, passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on October 13, 1940, John was a beloved figure to many, leaving a lasting impression on family, friends, and colleagues. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Elizabeth Macadam, and his late wife, Mary Ellen 'Scotty' Scott. John was the father of Terry (Sharon), Mike (Lynn), Steven (Lou), and Kathy, as well as step-father to Ritchie (Eve) and Susan Dejeet. He is also remembered by his brother, Wally, and his late sister, Wendy Birtch (Ralph), along with twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. John will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Arrangements are entrusted to Peterborough's Highland Park Funeral Centre.
