Joe Walker

The family of Albert Garry "Joe" Walker announces his passing on August 31, 2026, at the age of 77. Joe was the cherished husband of Linda Walker, with whom he celebrated 49 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Rebecca (Becky) Ben and was predeceased by his son Joey. Joe is also predeceased by his parents, Bertha and William, and his brothers, Bruce, Jimmy, Tiny, and Billy. He is remembered by his sister, Marg, and her husband, Jim, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Joe dedicated 30 years to the YMCA, where he became a beloved figure in the community. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 748 Cumberland Ave., Peterborough, Ontario. Guests are encouraged to wear attire representing their favorite sports teams. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Peterborough and the YMCA.
