Jean Sayer

Jean Florence Sayer (née Hogg) passed peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Leslie; her sister, Pat; and brother, Michael. Jean is survived by her loving and devoted children, Richard Sayer (Patricia) and Janine Kentish (Stephen), as well as her much loved grandchildren, Sara Cooper (Jamie), Daniel Millette (Toni), and Richard Millette (Lynsey), and her very proud great-grandchildren, Caleb and Hunter. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, and many friends in Canada, England, and the U.S., especially her long-time friends Lesley and the Late Don Pattison and Jean and the Late David Kentish. Jean's family would like to thank the staff and doctors at PRHC for their excellent care and compassion. In keeping with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place, and at a later date, the family will plant a Memorial tree alongside Les' at Presqu'ile Provincial Park and ashes will be scattered where there are Loons nearby. Donations to Durham Region Field Naturalists, Thickson's Wood Land Trust, The Friends of Presqu'ile Park, or Peterborough Regional Health Care Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
