Helen Carey

Helen Carey, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on August 28, 2026, at the age of 92. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deeply. Helen is survived by her son, James (Marianne), and daughter, Lynda, along with her grandchildren David, Stephanie, Jeffery, Joanna, Robert, Britanie, and Michael, as well as her great-grandchildren Isabelle, Allie, Julia, Tanner, Natalie, and Edward. She was predeceased by her husband, James Carey, and her parents, Francis and George A. Irwin. The family expresses gratitude to the staff at Peoplecare Oakcrossing for their compassionate care. A private family ceremony will honor her life, and donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
