Gertrude "Grace" MILLAR
Gertrude 'Grace' Millar passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in her 96th year. She was predeceased by her parents, Cliff and Irene Huston, and her husband Jim, who died in 2022. Grace is survived by her six children: Judy Heasman, Mary Jane Stoner and her husband Garth, Jamie Ferguson and her husband Steve, Jim and his wife Barb, Cindy Cameron and her husband Scott, and Bill and his wife Brooke. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Grace is remembered by her sister Kay Nickle and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Helen Robson, Fran Nolan, and Jane Zeller. Grace is also survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Dettman and her husband Al. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Ellen, a devoted friend and coffee buddy, Lori Meier for her companionship and support, and the emergency department at PRHC, especially Dr. Allie, Dr. Maloney, and Nurse Anna. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 8th, at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior at Highland Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the PRHC Hospital Foundation-Emergency Department or the Alzheimer Society of Peterborough.
