George Robert Wilson

George Robert Wilson passed away suddenly at his family farm on July 27, 2026, at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of Arlene for 56 years and loving father of Mark, Robert, and Greg. George was also an adoring Papa to Cole, Josh, Lucas, and Jacob. He is survived by his siblings Ellen and Beverly, and brother-in-law Gary, as well as his cherished nephew of Aunt Margaret McIlmoyle. George was predeceased by his parents George and Isobel Wilson, and his parents-in-law Howard and Beulah Robinson. A lifelong resident of Cavan Township, George loved his community and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and pets. A visitation will be held at St. John's Anglican Church on August 4th, followed by a memorial service on August 5th. Donations in memory of George may be made to the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association of Canada, the Millbrook-Cavan Firefighters Association, or the Peterborough Humane Society through Mill Valley Funeral Centre.
