George Edward "Ted" Manley

George Edward 'Ted' Manley passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on May 9, 1937, to Lillian and Charles Manley at Dr. Turner's Hospital in Millbrook, Ted was the loving husband of Margaret May nee Hannah for 65 years. He was the dearest father to Maureen, Darlene, Sharine, and Gregory, and affectionately known as Gramps, Grampa, or Poppa to his grandchildren, including Melissa, Tara, Laura, Sean, Sara, Paul, Eden, and Erika. Ted was also a great-grandfather to Kaedyn, Bronson, Chris, Jayden, Arden, Ashlynn, Shaelynn, Madisynn, Kalia, Isaiah, Zion, and Evelynn. He is predeceased by his siblings Leone, Lorne, Max, and Glenn. The family will receive visitors at the Ashburnham Funeral Home on August 17, 2026, with visitation starting at 11 a.m., followed by a service at 12 p.m. and a reception from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A graveside service and interment will take place on August 18, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Gardiner United Cemetery in Millbrook, Ontario. Donations in Ted's memory can be made to the Peterborough Regional Hospital Foundation.
