George Edward Manley

George Edward Manley was born on May 9, 1937, and died on August 4, 2026, at the age of 89. He was predeceased by his parents, Lillian and Charles Manley of Turner's Hospital, and by Glenn. He is survived by his wife Margaret May; his children Maureen (married to Rick), Darlene (married to Mallory), Sharine, and Gregory (married to Tracey); his great‑grandchildren Kaedyn, Bronson, Chris, Jayden, Arden, Ashlynn, Shaelynn, Madisynn, Kalia, Isaiah, Zion and Evelynn; his sisters Anna, Joan, Lorraine (married to Bernie) and Ruth (married to Gary); and Leone, Lorne and Max (married to Carol). Visitation took place on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, Ontario. A funeral service was held at the same location at 12:00 p.m., followed by a reception from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The committal service occurred on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Gardiner’s United Cemetery, 1080 Peterborough County Road 10, Millbrook, Ontario. Donations in his memory may be made to the Peterborough Regional Hospital Foundation.
