Frederick John "David" ALDUS
Frederick John "David" Aldus was born in Ottawa on November 24, 1941, the son of the late Frederick John Aldus and Phyllis Richardson. He passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by his sister, Gail Francis. David was the beloved husband of Eleanor Aldus (née James) and the devoted father of Lisa Wood (Chris) and Shelley English (Dave). He was a cherished grandfather to Jimmy McRae, Warren McRae (Stephanie), Summer Wood, Chad Perry (Olivia) and Katie Stockton (Aaron), and a great‑grandfather of seven. He expressed gratitude to the staff and doctors at PRHC, including Dr. Wm. Meade and Dr. D. Houpt. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the home of his daughter Lisa Wood, 474 South 7th Line, Belmont, RR#3, Havelock, Ontario. He will be interred at Rosemount Memorial Gardens in Peterborough. In his memory, donations may be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation, directed to the Hybrid Operative Room, or to a charitable cause of the donor's choice.
