Edward "Ted" William Van Zant

Edward 'Ted' William Van Zant passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at the age of 83, at his home in Peterborough, Ontario. Born on June 16, 1943, in Ottawa, Ontario, to Margaret Reid and Victor Van Zant, Ed was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Judi Van Zant, and their children, Terri and Kathy. Ed had a strong work ethic and spent over 30 years working as an Engineering Technologist at Bell in the Network Planning department. He also attended Trent University, graduating with an Honours BSc in Economics. Ed enjoyed various hobbies, including woodworking, being an active member of the Ham Radio Club, and spending time with his family. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Nisbett Funeral Home and Chapel.
