Charles Douglas SORRIE

Charles Douglas Sorrie passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 86, after a courageous battle with cardiac issues at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. A native of Peterborough, Charlie was a man of many interests and passions, including acting, athletics, teaching, and world travel. He was predeceased by his parents, William Sorrie and Mary Batten, and his daughter Anna. Charlie is lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Lynda, and their son Nicholas, as well as his daughter Ingrid. He is also remembered by his sister-in-law Janice, brothers-in-law Keith and David, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. Charlie was known for his kindness and his constant effort to celebrate the best in people. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hendren Funeral Home, and a private service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
