Cecil Frank LaChapelle

Cecil Frank LaChapelle passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the age of 83, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre with loved ones by his bedside. He is survived by his beloved partner of 14 years, Betty Freemantle, his former wife, Doris Effie Stone, with whom he had two cherished sons, Steven and David LaChapelle, and loving sisters Frances and Yvonne. Cecil was predeceased by his parents Cecil and Ruth, and siblings Brian and Pat LaChapelle. He will be lovingly remembered by Betty's family, including her children Donny, Jamie, Angela Brotherstone, and Tony, and her grandchildren Courtney, Michael, Hannaha, Tyler, Jaclyn, Jessica, and Danielle. Cecil is also sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A celebration of Cecil's life will be held by the family at a later date. In honour of Cecil, donations to the PRHC Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
