Carl "Butch" Augustin Dupont
Carl 'Butch' Augustin Dupont passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 63, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carol Ann, daughter Carolyn Miles and her husband Ron, son Harry and his partner Ghislain, grandchildren Ashley Gall and her husband Dylan, and Andrew Moore and his partners Kyle and Randy, as well as great-grandchildren Maverick and Harley. Butch was also survived by his sister Lynn Dupont and her sons Chris and Cary Martynuik. Predeceased by his parents Harry Dupont and Emma Wilkinson, and his stepfather Adam Wilkinson, Butch is now reunited with them. A dedicated manager at G.E. Canada, Butch enjoyed the wilderness in his free time, pursuing hobbies such as hunting, fishing, canoeing, snowmobiling, and camping. Later in life, he developed a passion for wildlife and wilderness photography. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 24, 2026, at the Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation or the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
