Barbara Joan SWEETING

Barbara Joan Sweeting passed away at the P.R.H.C. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the age of 91. She was a resident of Peterborough. Joan and her husband Doug were long time members of Park Street Baptist Church, Peterborough. Joan worked hard on the family farm and cherished her role as a grandmother in retirement. She is loved and missed by her daughter, Jo-Anne Sweeting (André) of Peterborough, son, John Sweeting of Tweed, granddaughter, Brianna Sweeting and grandson, Jack Sweeting. Joan is remembered by her dear friends, Nancy, Shirley and Vilda, nephew, Paul Sweeting (Elaine), several other nieces and nephews and her grand-pet, Baxter. Joan is predeceased by her husband, Doug (1992), parents, Bob and Mildred Rollins, sister, Faye Sweeting (Ralph) and brother, Robert Rollins. In keeping with Joan's wishes, a private family graveside service has taken place at Lakefield Cemetery. Special thanks to the paramedics and PHRC ER staff for their kindness and support.
