Barbara Joan Sweeting

The family announces the passing of Barbara Joan Sweeting of Peterborough, Ontario, on September 3, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on January 27, 1933, Barbara was deeply loved and cherished by her husband, George Sweeting, and her children, Lyle Sweeting (Tammy) and Laura Deniluk. She was a proud grandmother to Josh (Kelly), Matt (Casey), Samantha (George), and Kevin (Courtney), and a great-grandmother to Arielle, Ryder, Travis, Rylee, Quinn, and Roman. Barbara is also survived by her siblings, Gerald Hampton (Donna), Roger (late Helen), and Fran, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Visitation will take place on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Comstock - Kaye Life Celebration Centre. A burial will follow at Rosemount Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM.
