Ronald Desroches

Ronald Desroches of Penetanguishene, Ontario, was born on May 19, 1950, and died on August 11, 2026, at the age of 76. He was predeceased by his parents, Martial and Exilda (Laurin) Desroches, his sisters Diane Lacroix and Colette Leeking, and his siblings‑in‑law Ray Leeking and Paula Grant. He is survived by his wife Jeanne; his children Shaun (married to Stephanie), Nicole (married to Jason Zittlau) and Danielle (married to Shad Shannon); his grandchildren Benjamin, Kyle, Avery, Noah, Joël and Éloïse; his siblings JP, Julien, Mike, Pete (married to Karen), Dave (married to Claire), Rob (married to Susan) and Suzanne (married to Darryl Phillips); his brother‑in‑law Don Lacroix; and numerous other in‑laws, extended family members and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Church, 28 Robert St W, Penetanguishene, ON L9M1L6, followed by a celebration of life from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 2 Poyntz St, Penetanguishene, ON L9M1L9. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Huronia Tomkins House or the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre.
