JOSEPH FRANK DE CARLI

JOSEPH FRANK DE CARLI passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 81. He died peacefully in a hospice in Penetanguishene, Ontario, with his family by his side. He will be dearly missed by his brother, Dino (Rosemarie); sister, Rita; and nieces and nephew, Anita, Paul, Theresa, Anna Marie, Julia and Angela. He will be fondly remembered by Corrado Federici; and many cousins and friends. Joe graduated from the University of Toronto as a geological engineer, but found his true calling as an elementary school teacher for the Toronto District Catholic School Board. He loved his time at the family cottage on Midland Pt., fishing in the bay, playing with his extended family and scrabble with old friends. After retiring, Joe continued to contribute to his community by serving as president of the Woodbridge Oldtimers Hockey Association, for over 25 years. A private cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 6, 2026, at Bellevue Manor, 8083 Jane St., Vaughan, ON, 1 to 4 p.m. If you wish to honour Joe, a donation to Hospice Huronia-Tomkins House or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
