Peter Cowan

Peter Cowan, of Pembroke, Ontario, passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on May 11, 1945, he was loved and cherished by many. Peter is survived by his wife, Joyce Cowan; his children, Jordan, Sydney, Josh, Cole of Ottawa, and Julie and Steve Occeleshaw; and his grandsons, Owen and Griffin of Langley, BC. He was the son of Rev. Kenneth Cowan and Dorothy Cowan and is also survived by his siblings, Terry Cowan (Mary) of Westport, Colleen Rollwagen (Robert) of Ottawa, Phil Cowan (late Ruth) of Winnipeg, and Keith Cowan of Ottawa. Additionally, he leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Tim, Kyle, Seamus, Jeff, Matthew, Jen, and Kelly. Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, located at 141 Renfrew St, Pembroke, ON K8A5R8. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, located at 68 Renfrew St, Pembroke, ON K8A5R6. Donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or Miramichi Lodge.
