Michael Smith

Michael Smith of Pembroke, Ontario, passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 78. He was born on February 14, 1948, to Thomas and Rose Smith, both of whom predeceased him. Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Rosella Alexia Smith, and their daughters, Darlene Peters (John), Karen Smith (Jen Currin), and Helen Smith. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Haley, Sarah, and Riane, as well as his siblings, Diane Aquino (late Larry), Vincent Smith (Barbara), Bruce Smith (Caroline), and Mary Ellen McPherson (Bill), along with his mother-in-law, Lucy Digout. Visitation will take place on September 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Neville Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on September 10, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Most Holy Name of Jesus. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Research or St. Joseph's Housing are appreciated.
