Marna Dunn

Marna Dunn, a resident of Pembroke, Ontario, was born on July 12, 1937, and died on July 31, 2026, at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband Delmer Wesley Dunn, her son David Thompson of Bowmanville, her parents Richard and Ernestine Buelow, and her siblings Henry, Violet Stowe, Walter, Naida Radema, Harold, Edwin, Alice Johnston, Mildred Hamilton and Doris Smith. Survivors include her children Thomas Thompson and Steven Thompson (Chris) of Oshawa; grandchildren Cary Peterson (Cara Lafranier), Michelle Thompson (Shane Roach) and Megan Thompson (Bryan Duchscher); her sister Ruby Kumm; as well as nieces and nephews. Visitation took place on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke. A funeral service was held the following day, Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the same location, followed by burial at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, 670 Boundary Road East, Pembroke. A reception was conducted at 12:15 p.m. on August 8 at the funeral home. Contributions in her memory may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
