Herbert Edward Martinat of Pembroke, Ontario, was born on September 26, 1934, and died on July 20, 2026, at the age of 91. He was predeceased by his parents, Adam and Augusta Martinat, and by his siblings Alvin (married to the late Edwina), Madeline Van Horne (married to the late Gayle), Meta Kumm (married to the late Wilmer), Ernest (married to the late Hilda), Eric (married to the late Lydia), Wesley (married to the late Louella), Ray (married to the late Esther), Weldon (married to the late Mary), Garnet (married to the late Marion) and Clarence (married to the late Eva). Survivors include his wife Lila Martinat; his children Daryl (married to Connie), Dore Bay, Lynn O'Neill (married to Jay) and Terry (married to Pauline); grandchildren Derek, Amber, Jed, Mallory, Joshua, Brady, Ryan, Kyle and Kelsey; great‑grandchildren Christopher, Bailey, Hayden, Riley, Zoe, Weston, Mason, Eva, Gage, Denver, Liza, Ricky and Avery; his sister‑in‑law Marilyn Schultz (widow of the late Cliff); and numerous nieces and nephews. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Timothy's Lutheran Church or the Ottawa Heart Institute.
