Neil Douglas HARDIE

Neil Douglas Hardie passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 71. Born in 1955, Neil lived his life in Parry Sound before moving to Kitchener to attend university. He worked at Wendell Motors for many years and then at Wellington Motors for 23 years. Neil enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cutting down trees. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Janis, whom he was married to for 27 years. Neil is survived by his brother, Sheila Hardie, and brother-in-law, Shelley ONeill. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews, Alec Freed, Shannon ONeill, David Hilder, and Michael Hilder, as well as his cousin, David and Greg Jewell. Neil was predeceased by his father, Clarence Hardie, mother, Dorothy (nee Gettinby), and sister, Janet Hilder. Cremation has taken place. A family and friend gathering will be held in Parry Sound at a later date, and a Celebration of Life will be held in Kitchener to be announced at a later date.
