Isabel Hammel of Parry Sound, Ontario, passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on January 22, 1938, Isabel was a beloved member of her family and community. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob Hammel, as well as her parents, Edward and Gladys Gougeon, and her siblings: Jack (Joan), Marg (Rob), Bill (Doris), Tom (Gail), Doreen (Alec), Herb, and Norma (Ken). Isabel is survived by her children, Chuck and Lynn (Keith), her grandchildren Meggan, Lindsy, Cameron, Josh, Wil, and Rheanna, her sister Audrey (Craig), and her sister-in-law Wilma (late Morley). The family appreciates donations to the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation – Palliative Care in Isabel's memory.
