R. Desmond CLEMENTS
Desmond Clements passed away on November 8, 2025, in his 100th year. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn Clements, who predeceased him in 2022. Desmond is survived by his children, Lesley-Anne (Bob) Evans, Shaun Clements, and Joel (Andrea) Clements, and his grandchildren, Graeme, Malcolm (Merrin), Claire (Nicholas), Megan, and Owen. He was also predeceased by his siblings, John Clements (Liz) and Adrienne Terrell (John). Born in Belfast, N. Ireland, Desmond immigrated to Ontario in 1963. He was a proud Federal Civil Servant, Professional Quantity Surveyor, and member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. Desmond was a church elder, lecturer at Ryerson, photographer, woodworker, and enjoyed deep conversations about family, culture, reconciliation, and spirituality. Family and friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford, on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. A private interment at Farringdon Burial Ground, Brantford, will take place at a later date.
