Wayne Edward ('Steelhead Wayne') MacDONALD
Wayne Edward ('Steelhead Wayne') MacDONALD passed away on December 1, 2024, in Owen Sound, Ontario, at the age of 63. He was born in Toronto on August 1, 1961. He also lived in Scarborough and Brampton, and in British Columbia. Most summers he visited family clan in PEI. He was an avid and legendary steelhead fisher, having fished many of the great salmon rivers in Canada. He made his own floats, lures and flies. He taught many people fishing techniques. He lived to tell of his fishing tales and adventures. He also loved playing electric guitar and listening to rock and roll. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph Raymond MacDonald (2021), mother, Antanina (Joni) Sungaila (2017), and nephew, Aris Garifallidis (2002) and survived by his sister, Donna Joan MacDonald. He had a great love also for his many relatives and fishing friends. He will be cremated and interred at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Charlottetown, PEI alongside his father, with some of his ashes scattered across the numerous rivers he loved to fish - by his friends.
