Ronald Elgin DUNNILL

Ronald Elgin Dunnill, affectionately known as 'Boomer', passed away surrounded by his loving family at Chapman House in Owen Sound on July 26, 2026, at the age of 75. He was the cherished husband of Brenda Dunnill (nee Greig) for 52 years and a devoted father to Dwayne E. Dunnill (Stephanie) of Odessa and Tanya L. Coltman (Walter 'Wally') of Port Elgin. Ron was a proud grandfather to Logan, Carter, and Alison. He is survived by his siblings Brenda Lawrie of Owen Sound, Kenneth Dunnill of Delaware, USA, Sharon Parkinson of Alberta, and Paul Dunnill (Wilma) of Fergus, as well as brothers-in-law Willard Greig, Blaine Greig (Susan), and James Parkinson. He was predeceased by his parents Hubert and Merle Dunnill, sisters-in-law Marion and Linda Greig, and brothers-in-law Tom Lawrie and Harry Gilmour. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on August 7 at 12 noon at the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior. Inurnment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. The family requests that donations be made to Chapman House or the Owen Sound Hospital Foundation.
