Phyllis Kyer passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the age of 76, with her husband of 52 years, C. Ian Kyer, by her side. Born on May 3, 1949, in Geraldton, Ontario, to David and Ruth Shopiro, Phyllis considered Owen Sound her childhood home. She is survived by her husband, her brother Murray Shopiro, nieces, and nephews. A visitation will take place at the Highland Funeral Home – Scarborough Chapel on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Patricia McAuliffe Educational Organization (Learning for Living).
