Margaret Bird

Margaret Rose Bird passed away peacefully at Chapman House on July 9, 2026, at the age of 87. Born in Halifax on May 26, 1939, she was a resident of Hamilton. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Randall Bird and his wife Jen of Hanover, and Katelyn Courtney and her husband Tyson of Owen Sound. Margaret was also a cherished great-grandmother of Randall, Braedon, Gabriel, Ava, Jase, and Harper. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Bird, and her sons, Randy, Tony, and Gord, as well as her parents, William and Margaret Slaunwhite. A graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Stoney Creek on July 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home in Owen Sound. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce would be appreciated.
