Josephine Elsie Donaghey

The family of Josephine Elsie Donaghey (nee Wright) announces her passing at Brightshores Health System in Owen Sound on August 15, 2026, at the age of 87. Josephine, affectionately known as 'Jo-so-fine', is now reunited with her beloved husband, Brian Donaghey, who predeceased her in 2023. She was a devoted mother to Christine Palmer (Fred), Diane Ross (Scott), Shelley Plewes (Robert), and Cara Webster (Andy Kromkamp), and a cherished grandmother to Ashley, Spencer, Jack, Dylan, and Maya. Josephine is survived by her siblings Pat Kay, Kathy Wright, and Ivor Wright (Lenore), and was predeceased by her brother Jim Wright, sisters Dorothy Hall, Margaret Campbell (Rob), Sharon Farmer (Bill), and her parents James and Matilda Wright (nee Byers). She will be fondly remembered by her special friend Tom Gush, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Cremation has taken place, and arrangements are entrusted to Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home in Chatsworth. The family appreciates donations to the Wellness & Recovery Mental Health Centre in Owen Sound. They extend their heartfelt thanks to Melissa, Cristin, and Dr. Akbari for their compassionate care.
