Evelyn FERGUSON

Ada Evelyn Ferguson (nee Talbot), of Durham, passed away at the Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest on August 15, 2026, at the age of 90. She was the beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Ferguson for 65 years. Evelyn was a loving mother to Linda (Lyall Eccles), Jo-Ann (Kevin Eccles), Dwight Ferguson (Deb), and Gwen (Barry Richardson). She was a cherished grandmother to Josh, Brooke, Mya, Chris, Brock, Becca, Brittny, Mitch, Devon, and Jake. Evelyn was a great-grandmother to Gavyn, Ryan, Brinley, Jane, Ruby, Henry, Kyler, and Emma, and a great-great-grandmother to Ella Mae. She is survived by her dear siblings Lillian Gowan and David Talbot (Deb), and was predeceased by her brothers Alex Talbot (Joy) and Peter Talbot. A come-and-go gathering will be held at the Durham Legion on August 30 from 1 to 4 p.m., with memories shared at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Durham Cemetery, Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation, Royal Canadian Legion Br. 308, or Abbeyfield Houses Society of Durham are appreciated.
