Dennis Paul FARWELL

Dennis Paul Farwell passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 77. Born in Kitchener, Ontario on September 10, 1949, he was a resident of Owen Sound. Dennis was the beloved husband of Kendal Farwell (nee Machum), a proud father of Derrick Farwell (Laura) of Waterloo and Dan Farwell of Owen Sound, a cherished brother of Sharon Meyer (Denny) of Kitchener, and a treasured grandfather of Kyle Farwell (Dulce Fogle). He was predeceased by his parents, Harold Albert Edward and Adelle Lillian Farwell (nee Tooke), and by Lucky and Maggie. Dennis had a career in education as a teacher and vice-principal at St. Mary's and eventually retired as a principal from Notre Dame. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at St. Mary's & The Missions Catholic Church, 554 15th St. E. in Owen Sound. A celebration of Dennis's life will follow the service from 12:00-2:00 p.m. in the church hall, with memories being shared at 1:30 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound. Memorial donations to Grey Bruce Hospice Foundation (Chapman House) are appreciated.
