It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne Philomina Gomes, who departed this life on August 29, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on February 17, 1946, Yvonne was a cherished member of her community in Ottawa, Ontario. She is survived by her loving husband Kingsley, her daughter Michelle (Alexis), and her beloved grandchildren, Ava and Aiden. Yvonne was predeceased by her parents, Vivian and Wilfred. Visitation took place on September 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home & Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Yvonne was laid to rest later that day at Beechwood Cemetery. Her warmth and thoughtfulness will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
