Simon Kouri

Simon Kouri, a resident of Ottawa, Ontario, was born on December 25, 1935, and passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond (Marie Nesrallah) and his siblings-in-law, Maurice Helal (late Violet Hamway), Jeannette (late Halim Saikaley), Jacqueline (late Said Kajjouni), George (Hind Ayoub), Sonia (late Joe Beauchamp), and Bertha (late Joe Nemer). Simon is survived by his beloved spouse, Souham Helal; his children, Paul (Suzanne), Allan, and Anita (Paul); his grandchildren, Bradley, Lianna (Justin), Erica, Jaden, and Matteo; as well as his siblings, Emile (Therese Beauchamp), Afaf (late Antoine Bellema), Amal (Salem Saikaley), Marie (Ibrahim Abou Saad), Shaheen (Marie Saikaley), and Rouaida (Karam El Marji). Visitation took place on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, located at 1411 Hunt Club Rd, Ottawa, ON K1V1A6. A funeral service was conducted on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Melkite Catholic Church, situated at 1161 N River Rd, Ottawa, ON K1K2C8. In lieu of flowers, donations in Simon's memory to Sts. Peter and Paul Church would be appreciated.
