Scott Robert Miller

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Scott Robert Miller on July 13, 2026, at Care for Hospice Cornwall, surrounded by loved ones after a brave fight against cancer. Scott is survived by his wife, Diana (née McDougall), and his beloved daughters, Shawna Rouseau (Kristopher) and Sarah Ballantyne (Carson). He was a cherished 'Poppa Scott' to Hannah Mae and River Margaret, and he will be missed by his pets, Abby and Bo. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara (née Atchison), brother Brent (Karen), sister-in-law Liana Hammond (late Dale), Reeta Hackler, and brother-in-law John McDougall Jr. (Nereida). Predeceased by his father, Robert, nephew Patrick, and in-laws John and Theresa McDougall, Scott worked at Domtar from 1978 until its closure in 2006 and continued driving transport until October 2025. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family expresses gratitude to Dr. Yu, Dr. Menon, Dr. Poilly, and the staff at Care for Hospice Cornwall for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Care for Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated.
