Romaine Chappell (Romy)

Romaine Chappell, known affectionately as Romy, passed away peacefully at home in Arnprior on July 9, 2026, at the age of 93, surrounded by her family. She was the former wife of the late Louis Dotto and a devoted mother to Laurie (Karen), Marty (Karen), Tony (Melissa), and Dan (Elaine). Romy was a cherished Nanny to her grandchildren, including Trevor (Sandra), Taryn, Hilary (Matt), Stephanie (Chris), Kyle (Audrey), and Alissa (Isabel), and a proud great-grandmother to Athena, Apollo, Joey, Aiden, and Liam. She is survived by her brother Barrie (Sue) in England and was predeceased by her parents, George and Wendy Chappell. Born in England and educated at the Convent of Notre Dame, Romy dedicated her life to serving others, contributing significantly to her community in Capreol after moving from Toronto in 1970. She was actively involved in various organizations and cherished her family above all. A celebration of Romy's life will take place on September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Parish in Richmond, Ontario.
