Robert William Hosler

Robert (Bob) William Hosler passed away on August 7, 2024, at the age of 94, after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's disease, with his devoted wife of 71 years, Evelyn Hosler (nee Mock), by his side. He is survived by his older sister, Pearl Anderson of Nova Scotia, his sons Brent Hosler (Madeleine) of Tillsonburg and Kevin Hosler of Peterborough, and his daughter Erin Hosler-Wensink (late Peter Wensink) of Maxville. Bob also leaves behind grandchildren Gerrit Wensink (Hailee), Christine Hosler (Mitchell), Jacob Wensink (Camille), Sam Wensink (Lauren), Markus Hosler (Sally), and Sandra Hosler (Dustin), as well as great-grandchildren Zachary, Jade, Ava, Romy, and Emerson. He was predeceased by his brother Gordon Hosler and sister Lorraine Smith. Born in Qu'Appelle, SK, Bob had a distinguished career as a civil servant and served as a Captain in the Regina Rifle Regiment. He was actively involved in the Bel Air Minor Hockey Association and served as an elder at Trinity United Church and Port Nelson United Church. Bob enjoyed a brief career in real estate after retirement and shared many cherished moments with Evelyn, particularly on the golf course.
