Nicolaas Simon of Ottawa, Ontario, passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on February 2, 1937, he was a beloved husband to Anna and a devoted father to his children, Linda (Mike), Ken (Stacey), and Sharon (Alex). Nicolaas took great joy in his role as a grandfather to Kalen, Kendon, Sydney, Ryan, Julian, Riley, and Luka. He was predeceased by his parents, Johannes and Veronica of Jong. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Nicolaas's memory to the Harvest Share Community Food Programs in Parry Sound.
