Lucienne Thérèse Burton

Lucienne "Lucy" Thérèse Burton passed away on September 5, 2026, at Oakpark Retirement Residence, at the age of 98. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Burton and the daughter of the late Steve David and Rosa Mainville. Lucy was predeceased by her siblings Françoise Lalonde, Lucien David, and Anita Lalande. She is survived by many cherished nieces and nephews. Lucy retired from the Federal Government in 1983 after a dedicated career with CIDA. A passionate advocate for animals and nature, she supported the Ottawa Humane Society, Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Centre, and Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre Foundation. The family expresses gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Oakpark Retirement Residence and MLC Health Care for their compassionate care. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will occur at St. Trinité Cemetery in Rockland at a later date.
