K James Paquette (Jim)

K James Paquette, known to many as Jim, passed away peacefully in Ottawa on July 19, 2026, at the age of 96. He was the loving husband of the late Joan Paquette, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage. Jim was the beloved father of James and David, and the cherished grandfather of Patrick, Kevin, Ryan, Tyler, and Brendan. He was also the proud great-grandfather of Veronica, Isla, Lucas, Nathan, and Eva. Jim is survived by his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Eileen Righton and Marilyn Worthy, and her husband Bob. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Gladys, and his siblings, John and Donald. Jim had a dedicated 38-year career as a lab technician with Imperial Oil in Sarnia. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church on August 5, 2026, followed by interment at Notre-Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
